THE ROLE
We are seeking a Founding Chief Scientist to guide the creation of next-generation robot learning systems for real-world manipulation and deployment. This influential position will set the technical vision for robot learning models, real-world data generation pipelines, teleoperation/demonstration learning systems, and task-specific model training for deployed robots.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Robotics Learning Strategy: Craft the long-term architecture for robot learning encompassing manipulation, task execution, and real-world deployment scenarios.
- Data & Teleoperation Intelligence: Influence how real-world robot data is generated, validated, and transformed into scalable learning signals.
- Model → Deployment Feedback Loop: Create closed-loop systems that link deployment data with evaluation and ongoing model enhancement.
- Research to Production: Propel the transition of cutting-edge robotics research into reliable, production-ready systems.
- Technical Leadership: Build and lead the core robotics ML and data science organization from the ground up, defining the company’s long-term technical advantage.
- Strategic Roadmap: Develop multi-year technical roadmaps, balancing research depth with product delivery speed.
