THE ROLE We are on the lookout for a Senior Scientist I or II to spearhead microbial strain engineering initiatives that will support a pioneering biological platform within one of our stealth mode startups. This position will concentrate on the design, construction, and optimization of engineered microbial strains aimed at enabling scalable production systems. The ideal candidate will manage strain development cycles from genetic design to experimental validation, collaborating closely with our discovery and bioprocess development teams to translate initial biological insights into robust strains suitable for fermentation environments. This role will also provide technical leadership within our technical operations function and aid in establishing best practices for microbial engineering in a dynamic and collaborative R&D setting.
