This is an in-person position, requiring you to work in our New York City office alongside leadership five days a week.Your ResponsibilitiesDefine and oversee the overall technical strategy and architecture for the Thera platform.Drive engineering execution and deliver innovative solutions across payroll, payments, and new product initiatives.Lead and develop a growing engineering team, starting with three or more engineers.Make critical technical decisions concerning security, reliability, scalability, and compliance.Collaborate cross-functionally with product, operations, and compliance teams.Plan technical projects, prioritize tasks, and manage delivery timelines effectively.Manage the hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluation processes for the engineering team.What You Will Create and ManageCore systems that facilitate global payroll and financial transactions.New products in areas such as Spend, Documents, Cash, and Accounting.Internal tools and infrastructure that enhance operations and compliance.Platform enhancements aimed at reducing risk and increasing operational velocity.Candidate ProfileA minimum of 3 to over 8 years of experience in building and scaling production systems.Previous experience as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or in a senior engineering leadership role.Demonstrated success in managing engineering teams and leading technical initiatives.Strong systems thinking ability and proficiency in making impactful architectural decisions.Highly organized with a strong knack for project management and execution.Ability to balance speed and reliability within a regulated fintech environment.Familiarity with TypeScript and other relevant technologies.
