Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED. A minimum of ten years of experience in the industry or relevant certification/trade experience. Five years of supervisory and mentoring experience, including performance appraisal and disciplinary action. CFC Certification preferred, or willingness to obtain; must possess relevant engineering and trade licenses as per local, state, or national regulations. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, energy management software systems, CMMS, and other operational platforms. Willingness and ability to travel daily to assigned properties. Strong expertise in HVAC, BAS, fire protection, and life safety systems.

About the job

As a seasoned Chief Building Engineer with LPC, you will spearhead the Engineering team, ensuring optimal maintenance, repairs, and operations of our buildings. Your leadership will be pivotal in achieving high tenant satisfaction, maintaining safety standards, and enhancing building efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all building maintenance operations, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Monitor and manage building energy consumption to promote operational efficiency.
  • Supervise contractor activities and manage tenant improvement projects effectively.
  • Prepare and manage budgets; oversee inventory and procurement processes.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate the Engineering team; set performance goals and development plans.
  • Engage with tenants, contractors, and property managers to ensure seamless building operations and swiftly address tenant inquiries.
  • Collaborate with vendors to define project scopes and ensure adherence to contractual obligations and quality standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive inspections to verify system efficiency, maintaining detailed documentation and compliance logs.
  • Adhere to company safety protocols, employ appropriate PPE, and enforce compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFC, NFPA regulations while overseeing safety training.
  • Communicate professionally with team members, leadership, vendors, tenants, and clients, keeping all stakeholders informed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
