Position Overview

LISC is on the lookout for a motivated Analyst to join our Charter School Financing (CSF) team. This role involves exploring innovative financing solutions to support high-quality charter schools amidst financial challenges. The Analyst will monitor, report on, and manage LISC’s charter school portfolio, ensuring compliance with Department of Education mandates and preparing due diligence reports for our charter school loan portfolio. Staying up-to-date with city and state market trends relevant to our schools will be crucial.

The Analyst will serve as the primary relationship manager for existing loans, tracking performance and maintaining awareness of academic metrics, enrollment figures, charter renewals, and leadership transitions. They will assist the lending team by providing market insights and academic analyses as required.

Frequent portfolio performance updates and impact summaries will be part of the Analyst's responsibilities. Additionally, the Analyst will anticipate loan pay-offs and manage NMTC transaction unwinding as necessary. Amendments to loans beyond the initial origination period will fall under the Analyst’s jurisdiction. Relationship-building within the charter school lending sector is key, including presenting at conferences and participating in industry committees. This position requires travel for site visits, industry events, and meetings with the Department of Education. The Analyst will report directly to the Director of Lending for Charter School Financing.
