Requirements:Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. Strong communication and writing abilities. Comprehensive knowledge of commercial construction practices, procedures, and safety standards. Ability to read and interpret construction documents, including blueprints and specifications. Preferred: Current CSL license. Must maintain valid Workman’s Comp and General Liability insurance for yourself and your crew. Disability Insurance and Auto Insurance are required. Minimum of 2 years of professional carpentry experience. Experience in residential framing and remodeling is essential. Knowledge of handicap codes (AAB, ADA, etc.) is a plus. Must possess an OSHA 10 card. Able to work independently as well as part of a team. Capability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving work environment. Applicants must provide their own tools and have access to a reliable and insured vehicle.

re:fab is actively seeking skilled cabinet and trim installers to join our dynamic team as subcontractors for exciting commercial projects in Buffalo, NY. This role involves overseeing all aspects of pricing, constructing, installing, and repairing various structures and fixtures using a range of materials including wood and other building components for our commercial renovation division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our estimating team to prepare accurate job quotes.
  • Measure, mark, and organize materials according to established layouts based on blueprints or instructions from re:fab supervisors.
  • Cut and shape structures, forms, or other fixtures from wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall.
  • Utilize various hand and power tools to securely construct assigned projects.
  • Join materials using the most suitable methods, including nails, screws, staples, or adhesives.
  • Ensure the precision of work by verifying completed projects with tools such as levels, surveying equipment, or framing squares; make necessary corrections.
  • Install windows, doors, cabinets, partitions, moldings, and more.
  • Remodel both residential and commercial spaces.
  • Execute carpentry work in a neat, organized, and timely fashion.
  • Coordinate with the operations team to secure permits for construction work as required.
  • Maintain detailed reports of completed work and submit daily logs to the re:fab team.
  • Deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Adhere to local building codes and safety regulations.
