Eligibility CriteriaApplicants must: Currently work in investment banking (sell-side), asset management (buy-side), public finance, or a development finance institution. Possess at least eight years of relevant experience. Demonstrate a strong passion for sustainability and financial innovation, with a compelling case for becoming a BwB Fellow. Time Commitment: Up to 10 hours per month throughout the two-year programme, with flexibility to accommodate full-time employment. Compliance Standards: Formally commit to upholding BwB’s compliance standards, including adherence to NDAs, conflict of interest policies, and fit and proper requirements. Employer Engagement: Fellows are encouraged to discuss their participation with their employers to ensure alignment with their professional responsibilities.

Programme Objectives

This prestigious two-year programme is crafted to cultivate future leaders in sustainable finance by enabling them to leverage their expertise in innovative ways while acquiring new insights through high-level collaboration with BwB’s forward-thinking initiatives. The focus of the programme is on strategic contributions, expert advisory roles, and thought leadership, rather than day-to-day operations.

What You Can Anticipate from the BwB Fellows Programme

  • Engagement in Meaningful Sustainability Projects: Fellows will dedicate up to 10 hours per month to support transformative initiatives that utilize innovative strategies and structures to mobilize capital for social and environmental impact across various sectors and regions. Projects may include:

    • Creating financial mechanisms for climate resilience and biodiversity.
    • Formulating investment frameworks for nature-based solutions and sustainable infrastructure.
    • Collaborating with public and private entities on blended finance projects.
    • Assisting with public finance strategies to unlock funding for underserved communities.
    • Participating in development finance efforts mobilizing resources in emerging markets.

 

  • Mutual Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Fellows will receive direct mentorship from BwB’s leadership, senior ambassadors, and members of the Global Expert Group, who are recognized authorities in finance, policy, and sustainability. In return, Fellows will mentor BwB's analytical team members, sharing their expertise in areas such as capital markets, financial structuring, blended finance, impact investing, and project execution in development finance institutions.

 

  • Exclusive Networking and Event Access: Fellows will have opportunities to engage with members of BwB’s Global Expert Group through events like small group sessions and roundtable discussions. Additionally, they will be invited to BwB’s annual retreat, an immersive experience aimed at fostering collaboration, generating new ideas, celebrating achievements, and sharing insights.
