The Opportunity
Rowspace is on the lookout for a pioneering Business Operations Lead to serve as a strategic ally to the founders. This is an essential role for a versatile and resourceful individual who thrives in tackling complex, high-stakes challenges and driving them to successful conclusions. You will collaborate across go-to-market strategies, product development, and financial operations, taking ownership of key business priorities as they arise.
Your role will blend strategic thinking with hands-on execution; your ability to convert ideas into tangible results is critical. Whether it’s engaging directly with customers, constructing a financial model, or addressing team gaps, your proactivity and adaptability will shine through.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage strategic challenges from inception to resolution, including go-to-market strategies, pricing models, market segmentation, and competitive analysis.
- Act as the analytical partner to the founders, creating the analyses and frameworks that inform key business decisions.
- Aggregate insights across the organization—customer feedback, sales pipeline, product engagement—and translate them into actionable recommendations.
- Engage in customer-facing interactions as necessary, including discovery calls, product demonstrations, onboarding sessions, and quarterly business reviews.
- Lead cross-departmental initiatives that lack a designated owner, ensuring that crucial tasks are executed effectively.
- Contribute to the recruitment and development of the team as the company expands.
Your Profile
- 3–7+ years of relevant experience, ideally in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or a rapidly growing startup. You are the go-to individual for structuring and addressing complex problems.
- Outstanding analytical skills—capable of constructing models, analyzing markets, or reworking pricing strategies with ease.
- High level of initiative—self-motivated and proactive in identifying and pursuing important work.
- Strong writing abilities—adept at distilling complex information into concise memos or presentations that drive action.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and diverse tasks—ranging from competitive analyses to customer calls to recruitment pitches within the same day.
- An intellectual curiosity about financial services, eager to gain a deep understanding of the industry even without prior experience in the field.
