Location: US Remote
Reports To: Manager of Business Intelligence
Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000
Position Summary:
This role transcends traditional dashboard delivery; it is an analytical partnership where you will create insightful dashboards.
As part of IEM's engineering organization, which encompasses electrical, mechanical, applications, and enterprise engineering across multiple campuses, we are working with data that often fails to convey a complete narrative. Our BI portfolio presents numbers, but we need a professional who can interpret and explain these figures effectively. We seek an individual who comprehends the intricacies of engineering within a made-to-order manufacturing context, collaborates with subject matter experts across ERP, workforce, and engineering systems, and can present findings to leadership, articulating why engineering efficiency is tracking above or below targeted metrics.
Your primary responsibility will involve mastering the analytics layer that links customer order intake, engineering throughput, and production handoff. Ultimately, the goal is to understand the data thoroughly enough to provide informed insights.
Key Responsibilities:
· Act as a thought partner rather than merely an order-taker. Engage directly with engineering leaders and team heads to identify operational challenges and determine the necessary data to address them, ensuring its accuracy and relevance.
· Focus on diagnosis rather than just reporting. When scheduling backlogs arise or mechanical issues occur, it will be your task to analyze and provide actionable insights.
