What We’re Looking For

We are on the lookout for a Business Development Manager to join our Sales team. In this pivotal role, you will help us establish, lead, and scale a high-performing outbound organization that drives consistent pipeline growth.

This position suits individuals who excel in mentoring sales talent, constructing scalable outbound processes, and demonstrating leadership. You will play a crucial role in shaping sales strategies, driving innovative approaches, and nurturing future sales leaders.

This role is open to candidates currently residing in Canada and eligible to work here. We operate in a hybrid setting, requiring in-office attendance 4-5 days a week in downtown Toronto.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the development and growth of a world-class Business Development Representative (BDR) team, ensuring performance meets activity metrics and pipeline goals.

  • Coach BDRs through call analyses, real-time feedback, message enhancements, and tailored development plans to elevate outreach effectiveness and conversion rates.

  • Establish repeatable outbound processes from scratch, covering prospecting guidelines, conversation scripts, email templates, objection handling strategies, and qualification standards.

  • Set an example by actively engaging in prospecting with the team, maintaining excellent CRM practices, and exemplifying resilience, energy, and accountability.

  • Drive event-based pipeline generation by preparing for and participating in trade shows and conferences, empowering BDRs to optimize pre- and post-event outreach and follow-ups.

  • Collaborate closely with Sales Leadership to track funnel performance, identify potential risks early, and implement proactive measures to safeguard pipeline and revenue objectives.

  • Examine outbound data (contact rates, response rates, meeting set rates, handoff quality) and continuously refine and optimize messaging, channels, and tactics.

  • Work alongside Business Operations to enhance CRM workflows, improve data management, and streamline processes.
