Join the Business Data Science team at OpenAI, where we leverage data and analytics to enhance business performance, stimulate growth, and cultivate substantial partnerships. Our mission is to ensure the successful and impactful advancement of OpenAI initiatives, maximizing the benefits of AGI for all of humanity. We collaborate closely with Sales (GTM), Marketing, Partnerships, Support, Finance, Product, and Growth teams.
About the Role
As a vital member of our Business Data Science team, you will play a crucial role in fostering a data-driven culture at OpenAI, focused on generating insights, informing decision-making, and shaping strategy. Your primary focus will be on enhancing customer success with our business products, including ChatGPT Team, ChatGPT Enterprise, and API. You will engage in projects that identify opportunities for customer lifecycle interventions, target audiences for new feature launches, and assess the effectiveness of communications and events intended to boost ongoing product engagement.
This position is based in San Francisco, CA, utilizing a hybrid work model of three days per week in the office, with relocation assistance available for new hires.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with our Customer Success organization to explore innovative methods for enhancing customer adoption and engagement with our business products.
Define key performance indicators, conduct experiments, and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of our initiatives in driving adoption and engagement.
Proactively identify insights and opportunities that can contribute to engagement and business growth.
Develop tools and systems for stakeholders to access routine data and insights independently, allowing for more impactful analyses.
Become proficient in OpenAI’s data and systems. Collaborate with Data Engineering, Finance, and additional business teams to independently source all foundational data and extract valuable insights.
Partner with fellow data scientists across the organization to share knowledge and continuously synthesize learnings.
Qualifications
A minimum of 7 years of experience in Data Science roles within fast-paced, results-oriented organizations.
Proficiency in statistical analysis and causal inference, with practical application in data-driven strategies.
