Who will you collaborate with?
As a valued member of our team, reporting directly to the Sales Director, you will closely engage with the local sales and field service teams, as well as the project team at our Sisco facility. Your primary focus will be on brake systems, encompassing various responsibilities such as sales, business development, project management, and providing engineering support for Hyundai Rotem.
How will you make an impact?
In this role within the OE Sales team, you will spearhead project sales of brake systems to our clients. You'll coordinate with our Sisco to ensure product suitability for project specifications, address technical challenges with customers, and cultivate long-term relationships.
A glimpse into your daily responsibilities:
Manage all sales operations for the brake systems business;
Lead local project initiatives, ensuring they align with our company's strategic goals;
Identify and pursue business development opportunities to meet sales targets;
Promote Faiveley Transport’s comprehensive engineering solutions, including services and products for the designated product line;
Define engineering requirements based on customer needs and facilitate technical coordination with our HQ and SisCos in Europe;
Assist local customers with the application of products within Brake Systems, Air Generation & Dryer, Actuator, and Pneumatic Valves;
Address customer quality concerns and liaise with manufacturing sites to resolve issues;
Collaborate with customers’ engineering, design, maintenance, project management, and procurement teams to explore new business avenues;
Serve as the main point of contact between customers and our SisCo in Shanghai and Europe to ensure technical coordination;
Maintain databases and support payment collection efforts;
Regularly meet with customers to understand their needs and requirements;
Some business travel may be necessary.
Key Technical Responsibilities:
Define the functions of brake systems at the train level and lead engineering studies to achieve performance targets;
Prepare technical proposals and system documentation, including requirements specifications and schematics;
Define and conduct commissioning tests for brake systems;
Carry out functional and software verification testing;
Conduct system-level Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA);
Collaborate with the HQ engineering team on brake calculations;
Support final assembly and verify designs through both static and dynamic tests.
What we are looking for:
A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline;
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;
Proven problem-solving abilities in a technical context.
