You should have:Essential Skills & Experience:A comprehensive technical background in security, with deep proficiency in blast analysis and design. Proven capability to ascertain operational and strategic requirements to establish a design foundation. Expertise in blast modeling and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to accurately depict blast wave-structure interactions. Proficiency in software such as ANSYS, AutoDyn, or similar for advanced 3D finite element modeling and fluid-structure interactions. A strong grasp of physical security solutions (doors, locks, walls, fencing, glazing) and applicable performance standards. Experience in threat reduction, structural vulnerability analysis, façade and glass assessment, and related fields.

Our team is renowned for delivering practical and economical protective design solutions across various sectors, including high-rise buildings, petrochemical facilities, aviation, defense, and transportation infrastructure. We specialize in structural hardening, enhancing the resilience of people and structures against accidental and intentional blast and impact events while seamlessly integrating these solutions into a structure's design to maintain cost-effectiveness and aesthetics.

Your role involves the following:

  • Technical Leadership & Design: Provide top-tier technical insights on blast and protection engineering. Lead the development of blast protection systems, including CFD modeling of structural effects and intricate structural analysis.
  • Project Oversight: Supervise production and workload management for blast-related projects, creating work plans, defining tasks, and ensuring quality control and technical accuracy.
  • Client & Stakeholder Interaction: Collaborate with clients to comprehend their business objectives, identify challenges, and devise effective solutions. Liaise with sector leads within our Building & Places Business unit and coordinate with general Building Engineering teams.
  • Business Development: Assist in business development efforts, including sales and client acquisition.
  • Risk & Threat Analysis: Conduct comprehensive assessments of threats, probabilities, and impacts to gauge risk severity and recommend appropriate mitigations.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Create high-quality documentation, including employer requirements, specifications, feasibility studies, and conceptual designs.
  • Project Management: Oversee client projects, including progress reporting and contract management where necessary.
  • Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Advocate for best practices in Safety, Health & Environment (SH&E) and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
