This role is crucial in supporting the upstream packaging design and feasibility initiatives, working closely with the Assistant Manager of Packaging Design & Innovation. You will play a pivotal role in transforming brand and consumer experience requirements into early-stage packaging concepts, ensuring that our designs align with our brand ethos and sustainability goals.As a Packaging Engineer, you will engage in concept development, early supplier engagements, sustainability assessments, and facilitate cross-functional collaboration through the Design Lock process, enabling smooth transitions to the industrialization team. Success in this position will be measured by the development of meticulously documented, brand-consistent packaging concepts that are technically sound and clearly communicated for efficient scaling.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the development of upstream packaging concepts, including feasibility inputs, supplier coordination, and sustainability considerations.Support the translation of brand strategy and consumer experiences into packaging concepts, including CMF (colour/material/finish) options and packaging architecture proposals.Help create and maintain design intent documentation, focusing on form language, ergonomics, usability, and consumer rituals.Contribute to concept libraries, benchmarks, rationale documentation, and competitive analyses.Collaborate with fragrance and beauty suppliers on concept co-development, including sample coordination and rapid prototyping.Prepare early-stage 2D drawings or basic 3D models to effectively communicate design intent.
