Role overview
The Billing Manager joins the Wellness team to lead payment infrastructure for a B2C SaaS product with a large and expanding user base. This remote position shapes product revenue and business performance by owning and optimizing billing systems in the health and wellness sector.
What you will do
- Manage and scale payment infrastructure for a growing SaaS platform.
- Develop and improve billing processes across multiple campaigns and varied payment scenarios.
- Influence key business metrics such as lifetime value (LTV), approval rate, and retention through billing strategies.
- Take full responsibility for the billing process, making decisions that directly affect revenue.
- Optimize payment routing between payment service providers (PSPs) and merchant IDs (MIDs), including fallback, cascading, and smart routing approaches.
- Boost approval rates across different products and regions, and adapt billing systems for new product launches.
- Pursue growth opportunities for LTV through billing models, retry logic, dunning, pricing strategies, and localization.
- Analyze user cohorts to assess billing’s impact on retention.
- Launch and manage MIDs (such as Stripe, Adyen, and other PSPs), and establish legal entity structures for various products and markets.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years in a billing or payments role within a subscription-based business.
- Hands-on experience with payment systems like Stripe, Adyen, Braintree, or similar providers.
- Strong understanding of subscription business models and working with LTV.
- Experience handling MIDs, multiple billing models, and fraud prevention measures.
- Ability to analyze billing analytics, connect metrics and cohorts to LTV and retention.
- Comfort with data-driven decision-making.
- Skill in balancing revenue growth with risk management.
- High sense of ownership and a proactive approach to identifying and acting on opportunities.
- Upper-Intermediate English proficiency.
