About the job

Mixpanel’s Reporting & Analysis team creates tools that help customers understand how people use their products. This work covers metrics such as daily engagement, completion rates for key flows, common user paths, and retention after signup. The dashboards aim for both clarity and depth, giving teams the information they need to make informed decisions and test ideas.

What you will do

  • Work with a small group of engineers (typically 2 to 5) to design and build backend systems for analytics dashboards
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to identify the insights users value most
  • Help deliver tools that make complex data accessible and useful for customers

How the team works

Each engineering group operates with a high degree of autonomy. Teams decide how to approach problems and which solutions best serve Mixpanel’s users. This structure encourages ownership and creativity in building analytics products.

This role is based in San Francisco with a hybrid work arrangement.
