About the Role
The Data Platform team plays a crucial role in overseeing the pipelines, search functionalities, and identity systems that underpin Vannevar's flagship platform and dynamic workflows. The infrastructures we design and maintain establish and uphold the standards for data processing, storage, accessibility, and retrieval across our expanding portfolio of over 10 products.
As part of our team, you will help construct and manage this essential infrastructure. This position offers the chance to emerge as a technical leader, influencing standards for enterprise-level performance, scalability, reliability, quality, and security throughout the organization.
Your collaboration with product engineering teams will be vital in standardizing and centralizing shared infrastructures, minimizing redundancy while enhancing developer efficiency. Additionally, you will work alongside our Information Security team to guarantee that our systems comply with the stringent security and regulatory requirements of DoD environments. This role also presents the opportunity to shape the long-term vision of our platform, guiding architectural decisions and investments that empower the company to grow safely and sustainably.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of essential data platform infrastructure and shared services.
- Oversee critical projects aimed at building and scaling foundational platform capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with engineers across the organization to create and standardize data platform solutions addressing cross-product challenges.
