Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Design, architect, and optimize secure cloud solutions in Azure. Engage with clients and collaborate with other vendors. Participate in technical discussions internally and with customer/vendor teams. Focus on cloud-native services and enhance the customer landscape through adoption of these services. Define and engineer solution capabilities to meet customer business requirements and service delivery objectives. Lead and support cloud migration strategies and establish environments (Dev, QA, Prod, etc.).

About the job

SMX is on the lookout for an Azure DevSecOps Engineer to play a vital role in the design and implementation of secure, scalable multi-cloud infrastructure, applications, and services. This position supports the enterprise cloud migration and mission-critical systems for the United States Air Force. You will be responsible for cloud design, development, engineering, integration, and architecture. Your expertise will help onboard new Microsoft Azure cloud accounts and applications, conduct security patching, build code pipelines, and support deployment activities. While primary focus will be on Azure, familiarity with multi-cloud solutions (Azure, Google, and Oracle) and Commercial Cloud Enterprise (C2E) classified cloud migration and deployments is important. You will also have the opportunity to develop solutions from the ground up using tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, Packer, and other related technologies.

As part of our team, you will contribute to the strategic vision and integrate a broad spectrum of engineering solutions to meet client requirements for Air Force cloud projects. Your role will involve defining system scope and objectives, modifying processes to address complex challenges in cloud systems, and achieving desired results through innovative technologies. You will demonstrate your ability to employ advanced engineering and design methods, theories, and research techniques in addressing intricate cloud requirements and hardware/software interfaces.
