Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or a combination of experience and education, including at least 4 years in a leadership role. Preferred Qualifications:15+ years of experience in transportation projects. Expertise in Design-Build delivery for final design. Proven experience in Design-Build project management. Experience leading and managing transportation design-build projects on large, complex highway initiatives. Experience managing sizable teams in a dynamic environment. Possession of a State Professional Engineer License or the ability to obtain one within twelve months. This position will require frequent travel to project and client sites.

AECOM seeks a highly skilled AVP, Design-Build Manager to spearhead some of the East Coast's most intricate and prestigious transportation initiatives. This position presents a unique opportunity to influence the evolution of infrastructure by managing expansive, multi-disciplinary highway and transit programs from inception to completion. In this capacity, you will utilize your design-build acumen to direct cross-functional teams, cultivate critical client relationships, and deliver groundbreaking, sustainable solutions that enhance mobility and fortify communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential program challenges or opportunities proactively, analyze issues using all appropriate resources, develop alternatives, and determine the most effective strategy to mitigate problems or leverage opportunities.

  • Oversee the most complex and sensitive projects, frequently across multiple geographic regions, with many projects distinguished by their scale or program intricacy, necessitating the involvement of multiple personnel.

  • Act independently or as a team lead representing the organization with consulting firms, ensuring that the final deliverables of the project or program team align with the initial scope and budget requirements.

  • Develop and sustain comprehensive program plans, including timelines, milestones, resource distribution, and budget projections.

  • Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate activities across various departments to assure program objectives are achieved.

  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and executive leadership.

  • Implement and oversee risk management strategies to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential program risks.

  • Create and deliver regular program status reports to executive management and stakeholders.

  • Mentor and develop junior program managers and team members to enhance organizational capacity.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to refine program management processes and methodologies.

  • Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements and company policies throughout program execution.

  • Negotiate and manage intricate contracts with vendors and partners to support program objectives.

  • Lead change management efforts to facilitate successful program implementation and adoption.
