Qualifications

Qualifications:At least 7 years of relevant experience in avionics and electrical engineering. Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience. Solid understanding of aircraft electrical subsystems and their requirements. Proficient in electrical system architecture and analysis. In-depth knowledge of aircraft grounding practices. Experience developing electrical systems for composite airframes. Competent in using design software such as NX, CATIA, or SolidWorks. Adept at planning and executing various system tests. Hands-on experience with electrical harness design, construction, and installation. Ability to collaborate effectively with team members to assess electrical load and wiring specifications for aircraft components. Skilled in setting requirements, creating schematic drawings, developing bills of materials, and designing electrical power systems. Experience leading system tests and validations. Enthusiastic about working in a manufacturing setting alongside technicians and a multidisciplinary engineering team. Familiarity with Part 23 regulations.

Position Overview: Natilus is looking for a talented Avionics and Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in San Diego, CA. You will play a crucial role in designing and integrating avionics and electrical systems for our aircraft. This includes developing electrical architecture, designing power distribution systems, ensuring grounding network integrity, and facilitating system-level integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and integrate electrical and avionics systems at the aircraft level.
  • Analyze and manage aircraft electrical loads and distribution networks.
  • Create resilient and redundant power distribution systems.
  • Conduct system-level trade studies and collaborate with suppliers to refine the aircraft's avionics systems.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical and avionics systems.
  • Design and incorporate grounding systems for composite airframes.
