The Aviation Engineering Technical Practice Leader for the Americas will report directly to the Americas Aviation Lead, focusing on driving the growth of the aviation engineering practice. This role is ideal for an ambitious leader eager to enhance delivery quality and technical capabilities, while leveraging cross-business line resources and advocating for AECOM as a leader in the industry. The successful candidate will possess extensive connections within commercial airport facilities and will thrive in a collaborative environment with clients, federal, state, and municipal officials, industry associations, technical leaders, and project specialists.
This position offers flexibility, allowing for remote work with travel as necessary.
Core Responsibilities
Practice Growth and Sales
Drive the growth and strategic direction of AECOM’s aviation services across the Americas. Collaborate with Regional Aviation Market Sector Leads, the Global Aviation team, and Regional Aviation Division Managers to enhance service delivery.
Engage with various business lines and market sector leaders to foster strategic business growth, supporting aviation capture managers in securing major engineering projects.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, teaming partners, industry groups, and stakeholders in the aviation sector, acting as a key ambassador for AECOM.
Utilize technical expertise to contribute to the development of capture plans that align with business development strategies and technical capabilities.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Facilitate national collaboration with Aviation Planning, B+P, Construction Management, and other business lines for aviation civil engineering services.
- Develop and execute national strategies for aviation civil engineering projects in alignment with organizational goals, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Assemble and structure technical delivery teams with the necessary skills for effective project execution.
- Identify and recruit key industry talent to fulfill market strategy needs.
- Enhance existing strategies to drive organizational growth across the Americas aviation market.
- Advise leadership on resource capabilities that facilitate market expansion and enhance geographic reach.
- Identify resource gaps that hinder growth and develop strategies to address them.
