Role Overview: Autonomy Engineer II, Simulation

This position centers on simulation-based testing for autonomous vehicles. The Autonomy Engineer II will maintain and improve the core simulation interface, build supporting tools, and help turn simulation data into practical insights for the team. The work supports May Mobility’s commitment to passenger safety and ongoing expansion of autonomous shuttle services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance simulation interfaces and APIs that support continuous AV system development.
  • Work with data team members and stakeholders to identify, implement, and validate software for measuring autonomous vehicle performance indicators.
  • Create, maintain, and support simulation tools to validate AV safety and performance.
  • Design and build systems for managing simulation test portfolios and results, making simulation tests easier to find and use across the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software and system requirements.
  • Take part in team product quality activities.
