About the Role:

As an Autonomy Engineer, your primary focus will be the development and execution of the core planning and control systems for Skydio’s F10 tailsitter platform. This role presents unique challenges, as the F10 must operate reliably across various aerodynamic regimes while addressing the complexities of faster vehicle dynamics.

Your Impact:

  • Design, implement, simulate, and flight test innovative motion planning strategies.

  • Create, refine, and evaluate new flight control systems.

  • Analyze and enhance the aerodynamic and dynamic models of tailsitter aircraft using both simulated and actual flight data.

  • Contribute to hardware design by defining sensor requirements and control authority through rigorous simulation and analysis.

  • Step outside your comfort zone to assist in various areas of the engineering stack as needed.

Your Qualifications:
