We are at the forefront of real-time deep learning networks, striving to enhance intelligent aerial robots capable of navigating unknown environments and delivering substantial operational value. As a Deep Learning Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to train and deploy optimized models for our products. You will tackle complex challenges including optical flow estimation, stereo depth estimation, object detection, segmentation and tracking, visual place recognition, localization and mapping, few-shot learning, occupancy networks, and automated path planning.

Your Impact:

  • Design, implement, and deploy computer vision and multimodal deep learning models for Skydio’s autonomy system.

  • Utilize vast amounts of real-world video and sensor data for data mining, curation, labeling, training, and evaluation.

  • Employ large-scale diverse synthetic data to enhance deep learning algorithms.

  • Utilize state-of-the-art foundation models for knowledge distillation and efficient learning.

  • Refine and optimize models for low-latency performance on embedded hardware.

  • Develop evaluation benchmarks and metrics to assess the performance of autonomous systems.

  • Contribute broadly to various aspects of the software as required.

Your Qualifications:

  • A Master’s or Ph. D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven hands-on experience in designing, training, and deploying deep learning models.

  • Strong ability to produce high-quality, well-architected code (preferably in Python/PyTorch).
