Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (4 years) in a related field. At least 2 years of civil CAD experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Experience translating engineering specifications into engineering drawings. Experience with infrastructure projects, utility profiles, and cross-sections. Ability to assemble, manage, and manipulate large site surface models. Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Civil Site projects, including master planning, conceptual design, construction drawings, and detailed engineering drawings. Familiarity with Revit software. A willingness to be mentored by leadership and to provide mentorship to junior colleagues. A detail-oriented and technical mindset, coupled with the ability to understand the broader project context.

Job Summary/Responsibilities
The CAD Specialist will be integral in executing High Tech and Logistics Industrial facility projects within the Regional Carolinas B+P group, focusing on civil design elements including grading, drainage, and utilities. Responsibilities include:

  • Executing both routine and complex drafting assignments using computer-aided design software (CADD) to meet project timelines and objectives.

  • Developing CAD drafts and designs for infrastructure projects, including ports, civil, and rail.

  • Creating designs for various projects involving civil engineering, buildings, earthworks, utilities, stormwater, rail, and roadways.

  • Digitizing or tracing sketches from designers using CADD software (AutoCAD).

  • Supporting the creation and modification of 3D models, renderings, and animations for promotional materials and proposals.

  • Handling complex tasks across various application platforms, including Revit, to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Taking ownership of moderately difficult design tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Coordinating with other technicians and disciplines to produce design deliverables.
