Job Summary

We are looking for an Attending Physician to oversee and manage the primary medical care for residents in our facilities. In this pivotal role, you will act as the primary care provider, ensuring the overall health and well-being of your patients. You will be supported by a dedicated full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), working collaboratively to deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary care provider for residents in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), managing their medical care.
  • Conduct patient rounds and collaborate with NPs and PAs to evaluate and manage resident care.
  • Diagnose and treat patients with acute illnesses while overseeing chronic medical conditions.
  • Discuss treatment plans, prognosis, and advance care planning with residents and their families.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with nurses, therapists, and specialists to provide comprehensive care.

Requirements

  • Board-certified physician with experience in primary care and long-term care (LTC).
  • Strong leadership abilities with capacity to mentor and support NPs and PAs in delivering care.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand/walk/work on your feet for 6-8 hours daily.
