As an Associate Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap towards a sustainable future, working alongside a team committed to excellence.

 

Your Role

In this position, you will integrate into our expanding UK Healthcare Team, focusing on client engagement, business development, and managing key accounts. Your expertise will guide the delivery of innovative advisory and design solutions within the healthcare sector across the UK, with opportunities to contribute internationally.

You will enjoy flexible working arrangements, allowing you to work from any of our primary offices or from home. Our portfolio includes exciting projects such as Hillerod Hospital in Denmark, Cambridge Children’s Hospital, Royal Marsden, and Shrewsbury & Telford Women and Children’s Hospital.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing a team of Structural Engineers within the UK Healthcare Team.
  • Managing your own projects and ensuring the highest standards of design work from initial concept to detailed execution.
  • Acting as a structural engineering project manager, coordinating resources and tasks to meet project deadlines.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including MEP, civil, and geotechnical engineers.
  • Enhancing the reputation of the UK Healthcare Team through quality work and innovative solutions.
  • Developing structural engineering concepts and design philosophies.
  • Representing Ramboll at project meetings with clients and collaborators.
  • Effectively communicating designs with team members and construction sites.
  • Implementing best practices for delivering sustainable and innovative design services.
  • Conducting site visits to support design development and review ongoing contract work.
  • Actively participating in technical groups to foster continuous improvement.
  • Driving team improvement initiatives.
