Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively to enhance software features in line with contract specifications. Experience with containerization, testing, and deploying software solutions for client delivery. Other relevant responsibilities as assigned. Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science. Knowledge of microservice architectures. Strong background in mathematics or physics. Advanced proficiency in Python or C++. Understanding of modern, team-oriented software engineering principles. Commitment to code quality and adherence to software engineering practices. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Skills:Advanced degree in relevant fields. Experience with DevOps processes and tools (e.g., Docker, Jenkins, GitLab-CI/CD). Familiarity with SQL, PostGIS, Redis. Experience with various remotely sensed data types (e.g., OPIR, E/O, SAR, Spectral, RF). Current DoD security clearance.

Role Overview

The Associate Software Engineer will join the Boulder, Colorado office. This role supports projects that track multi-domain threats, optimize satellite scheduling for missile detection, and model or simulate complex systems. The position works closely with scientists, engineers, and developers to create and refine software solutions.

What You Will Do

  • Prototype, develop, integrate, and test advanced software
  • Collaborate with technical teams on challenging defense and intelligence projects
  • Work with C++ or Python to build and improve critical tools

Requirements

  • Proficiency in C++ or Python
  • Comfort working in a collaborative, sometimes high-urgency environment
  • U. S. citizenship (required by government contracts)
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
