About the job
Join hyperexponential as an Associate Software Engineer
At hyperexponential, we are revolutionizing the insurance industry with our innovative AI-powered platform, which supports critical decision-making in a $7 trillion market. Our platform is designed to enhance how insurers evaluate risks and determine pricing, ensuring that pivotal choices—like the successful launch of rockets or the deployment of autonomous vehicles—are made with confidence.
Traditionally, insurance relies on outdated methodologies for making billion-dollar decisions. We aim to change that by integrating data, artificial intelligence, and expert insights to streamline the process from submission to decision, enabling insurers to act swiftly and intelligently.
Backed by prestigious investors such as a16z, Highland Europe, and Battery Ventures, we are on a global expansion trajectory. Our platform has gained the trust of nearly 50 of the world's largest insurers, experiencing zero churn and facilitating billions in premiums through our system.
What began as a singular product has rapidly transformed into a robust, multi-product platform that enhances every aspect of pricing and underwriting. AI is central to our operations—whether it's developing the world's first domain-specific AI peer programmer for insurance or creating workflows that redefine industry standards.
At hyperexponential, it’s not just about titles; it’s about the impact and the challenges you tackle. You will collaborate with peers who inspire you to do your best work in an environment built to last.
If this resonates with you, we invite you to join us in shaping the future.
About the Kernel Team
The Kernel team is integral to hyperexponential’s platform, responsible for the execution engine that processes pricing models with safety, reliability, and scalability. Our work supports the critical decisions made by insurers, ensuring that complex pricing logic operates seamlessly while also maintaining the performance and reliability essential for mission-critical underwriting workflows.
In this role, you will contribute to the Kernel team by developing well-defined features, tests, and internal tools while gaining a comprehensive understanding of how the execution engine functions from start to finish. You will collaborate closely with seasoned engineers to grasp the architecture, diagnose issues, and gradually take on more responsibility.
