The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Associate Software Engineer to join our engineering team working on Man Group's central data platform, Codex. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in high-impact projects that will serve hundreds of internal users and support teams across the organization for years to come. Our mission transcends traditional data engineering; we empower our users to become data engineers through our software solutions. This is an opportune time to join as we explore expanding our offerings across the business with innovative greenfield projects. Codex encompasses three key pillars:
- Data Acquisition - An ETL/ELT platform designed for research and production, capable of handling multi-terabyte datasets while enabling data indexing for reusability and discoverability.
- Data Governance - A comprehensive cataloging system for the thousands of datasets at Man, facilitating discovery, entitlement management, data quality, and end-to-end data lineage.
- Data Delivery - A unified interface across our extensive datasets, prioritizing scalability, identifier mapping, and user experience.
Our Technology
Our infrastructure primarily operates on Linux with most of our code written in Python, incorporating the complete scientific stack: numpy, scipy, pandas, and more.
