Position Overview:
The Associate Project Manager plays a crucial role in facilitating the coordination of activities related to the acquisition, engineering, and construction of new sites. This position may involve leading a limited number of site projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Project Managers (PMs) in various tasks within the comprehensive tower development process, including SCIP coordination, ground lease negotiations, due diligence, and obtaining regulatory permits (Phase I, SHPO, NEPA, FAA, FCC, etc.).
- Coordinate project setups, budgets, and initiate new tower/site builds as assigned.
- Engage pre-approved vendors for site acquisition, engineering, and permitting services to ensure project completion.
- Develop and maintain weekly project plans for multiple sites and PMs, facilitating direct interaction with clients with support from both internal and external resources.
- Identify and evaluate potential risks within project scopes and escalate issues internally for resolution.
- Utilize company tracking tools to monitor and communicate metrics on at least a weekly basis.
- Conduct necessary meetings with vendors to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
- Prepare and finalize all accounting requirements for each project, including requisitions, purchase orders, and invoice approvals.
- Complete project closeouts, including site walks, punch list item completion, document scanning, site binder organization, and accounting.
- Acquire knowledge of construction drawings, the redline process, environmental reports, title, lease terms, and government approvals.
