Hands-on Project Experience: Proven experience in designing, building, and testing electronics through capstone projects or internships. Participation in competitions like Formula SAE or Robotics Club is highly regarded. EE Fundamentals: Strong knowledge in Power Electronics, Digital Electronics, and Analog Electronics. EDA Tools: Basic proficiency in Altium Designer or similar tools for schematic capture and PCB layout. Lab Skills: Proficient in using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters for debugging. Problem Solving: Logical approach to troubleshooting and documenting findings. Communication: Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts and ask for assistance when needed.

Join Our Team as an Associate Electrical Engineer!

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team at StandardBots in Glen Cove, NY. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge robotics systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Support: Collaborate with senior engineers to design PCBAs for robotics systems, including motor controllers and sensor interfaces.

  • Schematic & Layout: Develop schematics and perform PCB layout for sub-circuits under mentorship.

  • Component Management: Assist in maintaining the component library by creating and verifying symbols and footprints.

  • Bring-up & Testing: Participate in board bring-up activities, execute test plans, and troubleshoot hardware issues.

  • Documentation: Help prepare fabrication and assembly files for manufacturing.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with Mechanical and Software teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware.

  • Vendor Interaction: Communicate with PCB fabrication vendors to resolve engineering queries.
