Qualifications

Qualifications:A university degree in Finance or Accounting. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the fund administration sector, including staff management experience, which may involve other administrators, investment managers, or fund auditors. Comprehensive understanding of the fund industry. Proficient computer skills with a strong focus on Microsoft Office applications; a willingness to adopt new technologies for improved efficiency is essential. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is particularly valuable. Robust knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and Singapore GAAP. Preferred Qualifications:Qualified accountant or equivalent certification. Sound understanding of private credit or loan products. Familiarity with fund accounting software such as Geneva, Investran, or Yardi, as well as working knowledge of Bloomberg would be advantageous.

About the job

As the Associate Director of Private Equity Fund Accounting, you will report directly to the Senior Associate Director of Client Operations within our Fund Administration team. Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Delivering comprehensive fund accounting and administration services to our private equity clientele, which includes NAV preparation and review, custody servicing, investor record-keeping, and detailed reporting.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of Fund Accountants to enhance service delivery and facilitating staff training on all elements of the NAV process.
  • Collaborating with banks, auditors, brokers, and custodians to guarantee seamless service delivery and timely completion of NAV.
  • Reviewing and approving fee schedules, including the calculation of management and carried interest, ensuring adherence to relevant fund documentation.
  • Overseeing investor allocations for each NAV cycle, waterfall calculations, custody trading documents, processing capital calls, and distribution wires, ensuring compliance with client instructions and deadlines.
  • Partnering with both the internal AML team and administrators to fulfill all AML requirements.
  • Addressing all client inquiries promptly and effectively.
  • Reviewing and signing schedules, reports, and files to assure compliance with organizational controls.
  • Allocating resources adeptly to ensure all tasks are completed in line with Service Level Agreements.
  • Authorizing payment of fund expenses through applicable banking systems while following established controls.
  • Assisting in the preparation and review of audited financial statements and annual audits.
  • Reviewing reports for regulatory authorities.
  • Establishing fund or client-specific protocols that cover all facets of our services; ensuring cross-training and adequate coverage for all client services.
  • Contributing to the expansion and growth of the local office.
  • Generating ideas to enhance the NAV process, technological advancements, and client reporting.
  • Engaging in various system initiatives and projects.
