RequirementsFluency in English and Mandarin (both written and oral) is essential, as you will be working with clients and counterparts from Greater China. A client-first approach and the ability to adapt to urgent requests and global schedules. A confident and proactive communication style, comfortable with relationship building via phone, video, and in-person interactions—this role necessitates considerable outreach and networking.2-5 years of experience in client-facing roles within relevant sectors such as banking, business services, consultancies, financial services, or startup environments. A Bachelor's degree or higher.

About the Southeast Asia Private Markets Team

Join a close-knit group of nine professionals based in Singapore, focused on supporting private equity and venture capital clients across Southeast Asia. This team collaborates across functions and regions, with direct reporting to the Senior Manager of Client Solutions in Private Markets.

Role Overview

Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG) is seeking an Associate, Client Solutions (Private Markets) who speaks Mandarin. This position supports the growth of our private markets business by delivering high-quality service to clients throughout Southeast Asia. The role offers direct exposure to leading private equity and venture capital investors in the APAC region, while building connections with industry experts and deepening knowledge of investment decision-making.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage time-sensitive projects that help GLG clients make informed investment decisions. Analyze client requests, identify and qualify relevant subject matter experts, and deliver insights that influence investment strategies.
  • Build relationships with GLG’s network of thought leaders across multiple sectors. Recruit senior executives and consultants to join the GLG Councils through research, networking, and direct outreach.
  • Organize and facilitate client events, such as small group discussions between GLG Network Members and clients, as well as private meetings at client locations.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with GLG clients by engaging with investment professionals across APAC through meetings, project work, and ongoing communication.
  • Collaborate with international account teams to execute account strategies that support revenue growth and client satisfaction.
