ABOUT THE ROLE
Join our dedicated Building Consultancy team, where you will engage in a diverse array of responsibilities ranging from contract and project management to professional services, including Technical Due Diligence (TDD), dilapidations, and fire safety assessments.
Your role will involve regular, direct communication with institutional fund management clients, landlords, consultants, and tenants, ensuring that we meet their needs effectively.
Our team blends technical expertise with commercial insight to fulfill specific client requirements across our nationwide office network.
Key clients include prominent firms such as Columbia Threadneedle, Hammerson, M&G, Landsec, BlackRock, and Federated Hermes.

Building and nurturing strong professional relationships with clients, tenants, and colleagues is essential for your success. We encourage proactiveness and initiative in your work.
You will be responsible for managing multiple building surveying instructions for a variety of key clients, demonstrating your ability to adhere to timelines and provide regular updates throughout the project lifecycle.
Understanding client briefs and meeting their expectations will be fundamental to your success.
Clients will rely on your expertise and guidance for schedules of dilapidations, pre-acquisition surveys, due diligence, development monitoring, defect diagnosis, fire safety advice, and condition reports.
You may take on roles as a designer, contract administrator, project manager, or a combination of these.
Other Responsibilities Include:
- Effectively managing the project process from inception through to completion.
- Collaborating with landlords and tenants on ESG initiatives, advising on environmentally sustainable practices and materials.
- Supporting the development of less experienced team members and assuming leadership roles when appropriate.
- Formulating a strategic view on the lifecycle of property assets and comprehending the clear objectives of client briefs.
- Being present to seize business opportunities and demonstrating a desire to advance your career.
- Mentoring and managing a small team of surveyors, including apprentices and graduates, while supporting their continued education.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
- A proactive, practical, and positive approach to your work is essential.
- Exceptional communication skills with a focus on building a strong reputation among clients.
- You must be an MRICS chartered surveyor.
- Prior experience in commercial property consultancy is preferred.
