The Cloud Architect will spearhead cloud strategy, create infrastructure frameworks, and direct implementation teams to deliver resilient and optimized cloud environments.Main ResponsibilitiesCloud Architecture and DesignCraft and deploy enterprise-level cloud architectures encompassing compute, storage, networking, and application layers.Establish architecture standards, reference models, and best practices for hybrid and multi-cloud environments.Convert business and technical requirements into secure, scalable cloud solutions.Assess emerging cloud technologies and propose adoption strategies for innovation and enhanced performance.Governance and StrategyFormulate comprehensive cloud strategies, guiding principles, and governance frameworks across the organization.Define and enforce architectural review processes to ensure adherence to design and deployment standards.Collaborate with stakeholders for cost optimization, workload placement, and advancing cloud maturity.Security and ComplianceDesign and implement secure architectures that integrate identity management, encryption, and data protection frameworks.Ensure compliance with internal policies, ISO 27001, GDPR, and other relevant industry standards.Work alongside Information Security teams to incorporate security by design across all platforms.Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Architect and deliver automation solutions utilizing Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation for repeatable deployments.Oversee IaC design standards and version control for repositories, ensuring reliability and maintainability.Encourage CI/CD integration for infrastructure and applications to foster end-to-end automation.Monitoring, Optimization, and Reliability EngineeringDefine and implement system monitoring and observability architectures using CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Datadog, etc.Establish performance benchmarks, identify optimization opportunities, and enhance cost efficiency.Assist in troubleshooting significant cloud incidents and guide teams towards systemic improvements.Collaboration and Technical LeadershipServe as a cloud subject matter expert to IT Operations, DevOps, and Development teams.Provide architectural reviews, technical guidance, and mentorship on cloud technologies.Collaborate in planning the cloud roadmap and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Process, Quality, and Information SecurityAdhere to best practices for process quality and information security across all cloud operations.
