Recently, our client has broadened its portfolio by acquiring a firm that specializes in the rental and supply of folding IBC units, manufacturing and supplying IBC liners, and providing adapters and equipment designed to enhance discharge processes and minimize waste. Local depots in the UK, France, Germany, Sweden, Italy, and Spain support a diverse customer base across Europe.
As an Area Sales Manager, you will spearhead sales development in the North & East Spain region. Your primary focus will be on identifying new market opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing customers by delivering exceptional service and products.
Reporting directly to the Business Development Manager for CEE and Italy, your core responsibilities will include:
- Strengthening the existing customer base through effective account management
- Actively pursuing new market opportunities
- Targeting organizations that process and/or transport liquid products across sectors such as food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals
- Conducting prospecting via lists and internet inquiries
- Performing customer needs analysis and developing tailored solutions in IBC logistics
- Delivering product demonstrations
- Preparing commercial offers with the assistance of depot and head office teams
- Negotiating pricing, volumes, and delivery timelines to successfully close sales
Additionally, you will participate in trade shows and promotional events, contributing to business intelligence efforts. Your consultative approach will enable you to engage with customers at all levels, from operations to executive leadership.
By gaining a deep understanding of customer needs and monitoring their operations, you will identify opportunities to expand business and deliver added value. In certain cases, you will provide complete turnkey solutions to meet clients' intermediate bulk liquid handling requirements.
On a monthly basis, you will present detailed reports to the Market Director covering all aspects of your activities, including major account updates, prospect status, time management, and relevant market intelligence.

This remote position requires a high degree of autonomy. Frequent business travel (2 to 3 days per week) with overnight stays is expected.
