Minimum Requirements:A degree qualification is required, preferably with a Diploma or Master's in a relevant field, though a Master's is not mandatory. Recent experience in medium to large multi-disciplinary design projects is advantageous. Familiarity with various forms of building contracts is beneficial. Understanding and knowledge of UK Building Systems, Standards, Regulations, and construction types are desired. IT literacy, including knowledge of CAD software and the Microsoft Office Suite (OneNote, TEAMS, etc.) is essential. Ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in general duties across a variety of projects and design phases, including design, detailing, drawing, contract administration, and site inspections.
  • Where applicable, take on the role of project leader for small to medium-sized projects.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and prospective clients.
  • Perform administrative and management tasks relevant to architectural practice.
  • Assist in the preparation of design work and presentations, produce technical deliverables including working drawings, specifications, and contract documentation, and contribute to the development of presentations and projects.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in CAD software is a must. Experience with Bentley Microstation/Aecosim, AutoCAD, and REVIT is preferred, with training provided for project-specific software.
  • Hands-on experience and familiarity with 3D modeling in REVIT are required.
  • Knowledge of parametric modeling software such as Rhino/Grasshopper and Solidworks is advantageous, but not essential. Training can be provided.
  • Experience with SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, PowerPoint, Lumion, and other presentation and rendering software is beneficial. Training is available.
  • Familiarity with Common Data Environments (CDE) such as B360, ProjectWise, and AutoDesk Docs is preferred.
  • Creative, practical, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to work.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to think methodically to design, plan, and organize project components.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to present information clearly in speech, drawings, and reports.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK is required.
