To excel in this role, you should have achieved or be predicted to achieve the following by Summer 2026:GCSEs at Grade 9-4/A*-C, including English and Mathematics. A Level 3 qualification, such as BTEC, A-Levels, T-Level, etc. Strong IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.). Excellent organizational, time management, and communication abilities. You must be available to start full-time work by September 2026 and demonstrate:A commitment to embody our company values in your work and studies. The motivation and dedication to successfully complete your apprenticeship program. Please note, as this is an apprenticeship, you must not already possess an equivalent or higher qualification in the field or have significant work experience.

Join our dynamic Water Infrastructure team at United Infrastructure as an Apprentice Site Manager. We specialize in designing, building, and maintaining essential water and wastewater assets for the UK’s water companies. As an Apprentice, you will gain invaluable hands-on experience from day one and acquire the knowledge necessary to achieve a nationally recognized qualification. In your daily role, you will work alongside our Site Management team, overseeing construction site activities to ensure projects are completed on time, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring all operational activities comply with Company policies, procedures, and practices from start to finish.
  • Delivering quality and program standards as directed by the Site Manager.
  • Collaborating with internal and external departments to maintain smooth site operations in accordance with program requirements.
  • Monitoring progress against the project schedule and addressing any issues in conjunction with the Site or Project Manager.
  • Shadowing the Site Manager to learn about site management responsibilities.
  • Working closely with the commercial team to understand the financial aspects of the contract and raising concerns as needed.
  • Maintaining rigorous records related to requests for information, verbal instructions, and delays to protect the Company’s liabilities.
  • Assisting in developing and implementing a Considerate Constructor’s strategy.
  • Gaining a full understanding of relevant contract terms and conditions.

As part of your apprenticeship, you will enroll in the Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor Apprenticeship with one of our training partners. Upon successful completion, you will receive a Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor Apprenticeship, a Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) in Construction Site Management, and qualify for TechCIOB-L4 professional accreditation, with the option to progress to a Level 6 Construction Site Management Degree.
