Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.5+ years of experience as an Applications DBA or in a similar capacity. Essential Skills:Hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite / Applications DBA tasks. Proficiency in Oracle RAC and ASM. Experience with WebLogic Server. Administration of SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. Support and development skills in Oracle APEX. Expertise in PostgreSQL Sharding and Pgpool setup and tuning. Strong understanding of database security, backup, recovery, and high availability principles. Excellent problem-solving abilities and performance tuning skills. A collaborative spirit with effective communication skills to engage with stakeholders.
About the job
We are looking for a talented and experienced Applications Database Administrator (Apps DBA) to oversee, maintain, and enhance our varied database and application environments. The successful candidate will have in-depth expertise in Oracle Applications along with a broad knowledge of various database systems, including SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Oracle APEX. Familiarity with technologies such as WebLogic, Oracle RAC, ASM, Sharding, and Pgpool is a plus.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage and support Oracle E-Business Suite / Oracle Applications environments.
• Conduct installation, configuration, performance tuning, patching, and upgrades for databases, including:
• Oracle Database (including RAC and ASM)
• SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL (with Pgpool and Sharding)
• Oversee and configure Oracle APEX applications.
• Administer and support WebLogic Server for application deployment and performance optimization.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure high availability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies across all platforms.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to facilitate application lifecycle management and deployment.
• Enforce database security policies and best practices.
• Create and maintain documentation for database architectures, configurations, processes, and procedures.
