QED AI is an innovative technology firm committed to enhancing public health and food security across Sub-Saharan Africa. We specialize in developing digital infrastructure and AI solutions that bridge the gap between humanitarian aid and scientific research. Our initiatives include monitoring HIV and malaria, as well as analyzing crop and soil nutrients, with operations spanning several countries in Africa. Our funding is supported by notable philanthropic and governmental organizations, such as the Global Fund, Gates Foundation, CDC, and USAID.

We are eager to welcome an Android Developer to our Warsaw team. Ideal candidates will possess the following skills:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in developing Android applications with successful deployment on the Play Store.

  • Proficiency in Kotlin for Android development, along with a foundational understanding of Kotlin coroutines.

  • Experience with Android Jetpack components.

  • Solid knowledge in software engineering principles, version control, writing clean and maintainable code, and understanding of data structures and algorithms.

  • Fluent in English (C1 level) with strong verbal and written communication skills (minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute).

  • Strong logical reasoning and the ability to articulate ideas effectively.

  • An open-minded attitude towards collaborating with diverse cultures.

  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and resilience.

  • A genuine passion for your work and a positive outlook, even amidst challenges.

Additionally, the following skills will be considered a plus, though not mandatory:

  • Experience leading a software engineering team.

  • Interest or background in sustainable development goals related to public health and agriculture in developing nations.

  • Experience in computer vision technologies.

  • Familiarity with gRPC.
