Role Overview: Analyst II, Scheme Compliance

Based in London, the Analyst II, Scheme Compliance role focuses on investigating merchant activity, monitoring compliance with card scheme regulations, and supporting internal teams. This position plays a key part in maintaining Checkout.com’s high standards for regulatory adherence and operational excellence.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work with internal teams to investigate suspected merchants using a range of internal and external data sources.
  • Review merchant setups and portfolios to spot compliance gaps with scheme regulations, collaborating with stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Respond to internal and external queries through Checkout.com’s ticketing system.
  • Track and investigate compliance cases, ensuring effective resolution of all issues.
  • Create detailed investigation reports that outline risks, impacts, and recommended actions.
  • Develop and implement new processes and controls to support scheme compliance.
  • Monitor updates to scheme rules and regulations, advising on changes needed for internal policies and procedures.
  • Take part in audits of internal processes, identify improvement areas, and help implement changes.
  • Keep knowledge of card scheme rules current.
  • Lead training sessions for teams on scheme compliance topics.
