Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in financial analysis and modeling; previous experience in private equity or investment analysis is a plus. Strong understanding of ESG principles and Responsible Investment practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality presentations and reports. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.

Position Overview:

The Analyst / Associate at StepStone Infrastructure & Real Assets will play a pivotal role in supporting both transactional and Responsible Investment (RI/ESG) initiatives. This position will involve collaboration with SIRA's local and international teams, guiding clients in investment opportunities across the infrastructure and real asset sectors globally. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical and modeling capabilities, along with a robust understanding of sustainability principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate advanced financial modeling and analytical abilities, including the creation and modification of complex financial models, review of financial statements, preparation of valuation analyses, discounted cash flow assessments, and sensitivity/scenario analyses.
  • Exhibit proficiency in drafting and preparing memos and presentations.
  • Engage effectively with clients, preparing advisory materials as necessary.
  • Assist investment teams in Responsible Investment efforts, actively addressing ESG risks and opportunities during due diligence while developing and delivering training on pertinent issues to team members.
  • Generate RI-related materials, including tailored presentations for investor meetings, RFP responses, ESG reports, and legal documentation.
  • Conduct thorough research and due diligence on potential investment opportunities and sectors, encompassing primary funds, secondaries, co-investments, and direct investments.
  • Articulate investment decision rationales and communicate these effectively in both verbal and written formats, with the ability to justify positions during team discussions, including Investment Committee meetings.
  • Stay abreast of global ESG trends and emerging best practices, providing insights to leadership and implementing strategies accordingly.
