About Aviation Institute of Maintenance
Since 1969, the Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) has trained future aviation maintenance professionals. With 15 campuses nationwide, AIM educates about 20% of all U. S. students in FAA-certified Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) programs. Nearly one in four certified aircraft technicians in the country graduate from AIM each year.
AIM’s Atlanta campus is located at 2025 Satellite Pointe, Duluth, GA 30096.
Role Overview: Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic Instructor
This position focuses on preparing students for careers as aircraft maintenance technicians. Instructors at AIM help bridge the gap between hands-on technical work and classroom learning, sharing their expertise and supporting student growth. New instructors complete a 5-week training program designed to ease the transition from the hangar to the classroom. Resources are available to help refresh foundational knowledge as needed.
Compensation and Schedule
- Pay: Up to $36 per hour
- Sign-on bonus: $2,500
- Schedule options:
- Option 1: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm; Friday, 6:00 am - 12:00 pm
- Option 2: Monday - Thursday, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm; Friday half-day (flexible hours)
- Option 3: Friday - Sunday, 6:30 am - 4:30 pm; Monday, 7:00 am - 12:00 pm
