Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering or a related field, accompanied by at least 4 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceA minimum of 4 years of experience in air quality permitting and regulatory complianceA valid Driver’s License, with the ability to meet AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review requirementsProven experience in air permittingUS citizenship is required due to the nature of the work involved. Preferred Qualifications:Experience in business development, particularly in proposal developmentFamiliarity with interpreting and implementing State and Federal air quality regulations6+ years of hands-on experience in air quality permitting and regulatory compliance

AECOM is on the lookout for a skilled Air Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team at the Chelmsford, MA office. This role is integral to our air permitting and compliance group, where you will engage in various projects that contribute to environmental sustainability.

Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Developing comprehensive air permit application packages
  • Strategizing air permitting processes
  • Conducting thorough air regulatory reviews and ensuring compliance
  • Creating detailed air emission inventories
  • Preparing proposals and cost estimates
  • Collaborating closely with clients to devise strategies that uphold compliance and operational flexibility, while exceeding their expectations regarding scope, budget, schedule, and quality
  • Exhibiting strong communication and technical writing abilities, alongside proficient mathematical and computer skills.
  • Thriving in collaborative team environments.
