About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative engineer who is passionate about harnessing LLMs to create exceptional product experiences. Join us at the forefront of AI product innovation, where you will develop industry-leading solutions to address critical customer challenges.

As an engineer at Lightfield, you will take ownership of projects from conception to execution, collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the process. You will also help shape our company's product and technical vision, learning from each project as we continue to expand.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with product leaders to pinpoint customer challenges, define requirements, and implement LLM-powered solutions.
  • Utilize LLMs as reasoning engines to develop domain-specific AI assistants.
  • Craft and refine prompts, employing techniques such as few-shot learning and chain-of-thought.
  • Design and optimize end-to-end RAG pipelines and agent architectures to effectively utilize both public and proprietary data.
  • Enhance the overall quality of AI agents (e.g. relevance, fidelity, latency) through empirical evaluation and iterative improvements.
  • Create and improve systems and tools that facilitate high-velocity experimentation (e.g. LLM-powered automated evaluation) and personalized product experiences.
  • Stay updated with the latest AI research and integrate cutting-edge techniques into our work.
  • Contribute to defining technical direction and best practices for AI application development at Lightfield.
  • Play a role in building a world-class engineering culture.
