About the job
About Inductive Bio
Inductive Bio partners with biotech and pharmaceutical companies to accelerate drug discovery using AI-driven virtual labs. Our platform supports the full Design-Make-Test-Analyze (DMTA) cycle, combining Beacon-1 ADMET prediction models, human dose estimation tools, and Indy, our AI medicinal chemistry assistant. Working closely with CROs, we offer advanced synthesis, direct-to-dose testing, and cost-effective tier 1 ADME panels to bridge computational design with experimental validation. Our work spans small molecule and beyond-rule-of-five programs.
Beacon-1 technology earned first place in the 2025 Polaris and 2026 OpenADMET-ExpansionRx blind competitions, surpassing companies such as Merck & Co + NVIDIA and EMD Serono.
We have raised $30 million from investors including Obvious Ventures, a16z Bio + Health, and Lux Capital, and received a $21 million ARPA-H CATALYST award to develop next-generation toxicity models.
Role Overview: AI-Driven Medicinal Chemist
We are hiring a Medicinal Chemist to help shape our AI-centric drug discovery platform. This position reports to the Head of Medicinal Chemistry and plays a key part in every stage of the DMTA cycle.
Location
New York City, San Francisco, or Boston
What You Will Do
- Serve as an embedded expert across partner drug discovery programs, supporting work from lead generation through development candidate nomination for a range of small molecule modalities.
- Work closely with computational chemistry, DMPK, and machine learning teams, applying both Inductive’s tools and your medicinal chemistry experience as a consultant on partner projects.
- Enhance value for partners by integrating Inductive’s experimental services, predictive models, and AI workflows with our chemistry and assay CRO partners to test hypotheses efficiently.
- Help develop an AI-native drug discovery platform that speeds the path of drugs to the clinic. Shape the evolution of Indy (our AI medicinal chemistry agent) and build assay and synthesis workflows for faster, higher-quality results.
- Advance Inductive’s mission by building industry relationships, engaging with current and prospective partners, gathering insights from drug discovery teams, attending conferences, giving presentations, and authoring blog posts and publications.
