About the job
About Us:
At DOSS, we are pioneering an AI-native ERP platform designed to revolutionize automation. Our dedicated team has reimagined 50 years of legacy software to significantly enhance the functionality of supply chain, operations, and finance organizations. As we rapidly scale, this is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact within DOSS and for our clients!
Position Summary:
The Agent Engineer role is situated within the product and implementation organization (PMO), focusing on engineering tasks. You will develop tools and productize agents that facilitate the entire DOSS customer lifecycle, from discovery to design, building, user acceptance testing (UAT), going live, and expansion. This position emphasizes systems engineering for agentic software, requiring you to design context, interfaces, instrumentation, evaluation, and reliability to ensure agents can effectively and safely perform real customer tasks consistently.
Your mission is to transform ERP implementation into a mechanically scalable process, breaking down knowledge work into computable units manageable by GPUs rather than human intellect. You will play a key role in architecting, instrumenting, and operating this innovative factory.
While prior ERP or industry experience can be beneficial, it is not mandatory. Our diverse team comprises individuals from various business and technical backgrounds. What we value most are:
Core Responsibilities:
Design agent workflows that align with real implementation tasks: intake, reasoning, actions, verification, and handoff across multiple customers and sectors.
Create context systems: define what an agent should know, the timing of this knowledge, its grounding, and how to maintain accuracy as customer needs evolve.
Productize agent capabilities into reusable components: playbooks, tools, schemas, guardrails, and templates that enhance functionality across clients.
Instrument and assess: establish success metrics, develop automated evaluation frameworks, monitor failure patterns, and iterate swiftly.
Oversee agents in production: ensure reliability through rollback strategies, escalation paths, audit trails, and continuous improvement cycles with the PMO team.
Collaborate closely with PMO and product teams to transform complex business realities into clear, computable representations (data models, process graphs, etc.).
