About the Role
As an integral member of our team, you will oversee the timely and efficient management of essential activities related to the acquisition, maintenance, and safeguarding of Real Estate Owned (REO) properties resulting from reverse mortgage foreclosures. This position requires close collaboration with vendors and contractors to ensure that properties are secure, well-maintained, and ready for market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the REO property preservation process for reverse mortgages, adhering to company protocols and legal regulations.
- Coordinate and supervise timely property inspections to identify safety hazards and maintenance requirements.
- Implement measures to secure vacant properties against unauthorized access and vandalism.
- Manage the clean-out process and debris removal for properties.
- Ensure lawn maintenance is conducted, including mowing and landscaping, to maintain curb appeal and avoid code violations.
- Arrange winterization services to safeguard vacant properties from weather-related damage during colder months.
- Oversee additional life safety and preservation tasks as required (e.g., board-up services, plumbing shut-off).
- Document and track all preservation activities for each property.
- Collaborate with asset managers and other departments to facilitate a smooth transition of properties when they are ready for listing and sale.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records for all assigned REO properties.
