Role Overview:
Natilus is on the lookout for a talented Aerodynamics & Performance Engineer to join our dynamic team in San Diego, CA. In this pivotal role, you will engage in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis and support both low- and high-speed wind tunnel testing. You will play a crucial role in aerodynamic optimization, vehicle design decisions, and performance predictions across the Natilus aircraft lineup.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct and execute component and vehicle-level CFD analyses.
- Prepare and disseminate analysis reports.
- Plan, support, and execute wind tunnel tests.
- Assist in aerodynamic design optimization studies.
- Carry out comparative analyses of predicted aerodynamic performance against experimental and/or flight test data.
- Lead the development and enhancement of methods and tools.
- Oversee large, complex project initiatives critical to the organization with minimal supervision.
- Possess a strong foundation in Applied Aerodynamics theory.
- Demonstrate a robust understanding of Computational Fluid Dynamics and numerical methodologies.
